India’s exhibition landscape is witnessing an unprecedented moment as Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios’ upcoming war epic 120 brave Raksha has become the first film in the country to be released in theaters across the country. This landmark initiative, enabled through PictureTime’s mobile cinema network, ensures that the film honoring unparalleled courage will reach directly to the brave hearts it pays tribute to.

The Farhan Akhtar-starrer film is set to be screened exclusively for the defense community in over 800 theaters across India when it opens globally on November 21. The rollout, executed by PictureTime in collaboration with Genesink Brat Media, marks a huge leap forward in accessibility, bringing high-quality cinematic experiences to deployed soldiers and their families in remote and previously underserved areas.
Explaining the scale and impact of the initiative, Sushil Chaudhary, Founder-CEO, PictureTime, highlighted the long-standing lack of access to entertainment for armed forces personnel. Choudhary said, “There are 1.5 million active duty soldiers and over six million viewers. But only 30 per cent of India’s 20 million strong veteran and family audience has access to defense cinemas. Our aim is to expand the ecosystem to reach the additional underprivileged 70% and we start with a bang with 120 Bahadur, a film we know will connect deeply with the forces.”
Excel Entertainment CEO Vishal Ramchandani echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the emotional significance of the film’s Raksha-first release. “120 Bahadur honors the courage and sacrifice of our armed forces. We feel truly fortunate that the soldiers whose spirit this film celebrates will be watching it with their families. Our heartfelt thanks to Picturetime for facilitating this screening for those who served the nation.”
Based on the heroic battle of Rezang La, 120 brave It includes a strong cast like Raashi Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivaan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal, Atul Singh along with senior actors Ajinkya Dev and Ejaz Khan.
