Deepika Padukone continues to film Raaka even during pregnancy
The news of Deepika Padukone’s second pregnancy with Ranveer Singh has made her fans happy. However, many people were worried about her upcoming film with Allu Arjun. When rumors of her being reduced to a role in Atlee’s upcoming Telugu pan-India action film Raaka spread like wildfire, the makers decided to clear the air.
So, speaking to Times of India, the team clarified, “Everything is going as per plan. Deepika Padukone plays a pivotal role in Raaka, and the shooting is going on seamlessly with great energy on the sets.”
Apparently, Deepika is yet to film some portions of Shahrukh Khan’s King. Earlier, an industry insider had told Hindustan Times that the DP has been shooting intense action sequences for Raaka even during her pregnancy. “She will continue filming throughout her pregnancy,” the insider said. She said the actresses and film teams will take all precautions while working on projects.
This is not the first time that the DP will be working during her pregnancy. In 2024, when she was expecting her first child, Dua Padukone Singh, she shot for Kalki 2898 AD while she was in her early pregnancy. She even attended promotional events and flaunted her baby bump like a professional.
Coming back to Raaka, this is the second collaboration between directors Atlee and Deepika. Months ago, the makers had released an announcement video welcoming the Om Shanti Om actress to the team. The action-heavy video gives a glimpse of Atlee’s rigorous preparation to play her character in the science fiction film. “The Queen moves forward to conquer,” he said.
Recently on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday, the makers gave a glimpse of his fierce avatar in the Sun Pictures production.
