Actress-royalty Hema Malini visited the unhappy city of Karur in Tamil Nadu on 30 September. During the rally of actor-royalty’s victory, a terrible stampede was killed at least 36 people and many were injured on 27 September. He spoke emotionally to Karur. “I can’t tell you how sad the situation is here. Due to the negligence of some people, the small town has been thrown in a state of shock.”

Does she blame Vijay for the tragedy? “He should not have invited so many people. He knows his popularity; he knows that people in a small town like Karur will give anything for a glimpse of a superstar. Why Karur, even the voting for victory in Chennai will be very big. Hema visited the injured in the hospital. “Whatever has happened, he is surprised. The stampede of this magnitude has never been in a political rally. There should be a thorough investigation of why this happened.”
