In a candid chat with IHNS, Vijay Kumar gave his stand on the matter and claimed that the rights of the franchise have always been on his side. Addressing the ongoing case, he confirmed, “We have full rights Foul play Franchise clean and clear, everything. What else? This guy made the second installment without permission.”
According to Vijay, the matter is related to the sequel only. While remake rights were once granted for the Hindi version, they allege that subsequent developments took place without consent. He said, “We had given the remake rights only once for the Hindi version. They made it, but then went ahead with another film without our consent or knowledge.” He said the case was not pursued legally at that time.

Providing an update on the legal proceedings, Vijay claimed that the court has already stated its stand. “The court has made it clear that the authority is with us, and we are also confident of getting that order,” he said, also accusing the opposite party of delaying the process through repeated adjournments and non-appearance.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Vijay acknowledged the commercial value of the franchise and did not rule out future collaborations once the matter was resolved. “The sale can be considered only after the issue with Nadiadwala is resolved. Once it is resolved, all options are open… because it is a major brand,” he said.
On the creative front, he stressed that the original trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty remain integral to the franchise’s identity, noting that retaining them “makes the most business sense in every way.”
For now, the fate of rigging 3 Uncertainty remains, largely dependent on the outcome of the legal proceedings, which Vijay believes will ultimately conclude in his favour, even as the final resolution continues to be delayed.
