The upcoming Tamil film, Seyon shared its first look on social media on the occasion of its lead actor Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday. The film, which is set to release in October 2026, has been long awaited by the star’s fans, especially due to its strong team, which includes director Shivakumar Murugesan and producer Kamal Haasan. Since the reveal of its first look, fans of the star have found an unmistakable connection with the latter, which is a subtle nod to his 2004 role in Virumaandi.
Sharing this, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, “For those who enjoy me, for those who love me, for those who think more about me than me, for my fans, for my brothers and sisters.” He said that ‘Satan’s destruction’ is waiting for the audience in the film.
Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran’s production under the banner of Rajkamal Films International and Haldi Media has reminded the audience of Kamal Haasan’s 2004 Indian Tamil-language action drama film, Virumaandi, with many sharing the surprise.
The 3 minute 31 second clip shared on the actor’s social media and the YouTube channel of producers, Raj Kamal Films International, shows Sivakarthikeyan donning the avatar of Lord Virumaandi. It focuses on the second day of the Maasi Kalari festival featuring the Karumathur Virumaandi temple, with the police force as well as the organizers wondering who wreaked havoc on the celebrations.
As soon as the main character is introduced, he is welcomed with open arms instead of the expected chaos at the hands of the public. Sivakarthikeyan takes charge with a stick in one hand and a blazing torch in the other, giving off his powerful presence. They celebrate his entry as a divine presence.
