After a brief hiatus of two weeks, IHNS Predicts is back. The two new releases entering tracking this week are Ek Din and Raja Shivaji (Hindi). Additionally, there is also a trailer update for Bhoot Bangla.
Raja Shivaji (Hindi) (01/05/2026)
First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 2-4 crores
2020 has already seen two major blockbusters based on Maratha warriors, Tanaji and Chhaava. On paper, Raja Shivaji is expected to be bigger than him, however the response to the trailer is not at his level. Both Tanhaji and Chaava took off to a strong start in Maharashtra, while the rest of India had a relatively slow start but picked up momentum due to positive word of mouth.
In Maharashtra, the original Marathi version is likely to be the first choice for audiences, which limits the potential of the Hindi dubbed version. Hindi markets outside Maharashtra, which had a slow start for the previous films, are not expected to fare much better in this case either. That said, the holiday factor should lend some support to the opening day numbers.

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 1-2 crores
Junaid Khan’s second theatrical release after his disappointing performance with Loveyappa. This time too expectations are low, the trailer has failed to generate much interest. The film is expected to perform at the same level as Lavayapa, which earned Rs. Rs 1 crore on the first day. A vacation might provide a little boost for “first day,” but nothing game-changing.

Bhoot Bangla has released its trailer, which has received mixed responses. There will also be a paid preview of the film on the night before the release, which will be removed from Friday. All things considered, the forecast has been reduced to Rs. to Rs 7-11 crore. 10-15 crores.
