For Anshula Kapoor, her mehendi was about meaning as well as celebration. Hosted at the home of sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, the intimate gathering brought together close family and friends for an afternoon focused on love, tradition and togetherness, with every detail thoughtfully planned as a surprise for the bride-to-be.

The occasion is also a personal tribute to the family she is stepping into. For the ceremony, Anshula chose an exclusive teal blue lehenga designed by Arpita Mehta, which was inspired by Gujarat’s rich Patola textile tradition and featured the designer’s signature mirror work. The outfit also marks Arpita Mehta’s first Patola-inspired bridal lehenga.
Sharing the inspiration behind her look, Anshula wrote: “For my mehendi, I wanted my outfit to honor the family I was stepping into. This incredible teal blue lehenga from @arpitamehtaofficial is inspired by the rich heritage of Patola, as well as beautifully incorporating their signature mirror work – bringing together two crafts that are so deeply associated with the textile heritage of Gujarat. What makes it even more special? It @arpita__mehta’s first patola-inspired bridal lehenga.”
While the outfit reflected the significance of the day, it was the celebration itself that left the biggest impression on Anshula. Entirely planned by her sisters, the mehendi remained a surprise till her arrival. As she shared: “And while the dress stole my heart, the day itself stole my breath! @janhvikapoor and @khushikapoor planned the entire mehendi as a surprise. I knew there was a celebration – I had no idea what they dreamed up at all. Surrounded by so much love, watching it all happen is a memory I’ll cherish forever 🫶”
This intimate celebration reflected the warmth of home and the coming together of two families, making it a meaningful start to Anshula’s wedding festivities. Now the Mehndi ceremony is going on, Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar are going to get married in the coming days.
