The Raghava Lawrence-starrer Kanchana film series is one of the most successful franchises in Tamil cinema, with four films released so far. Now, as work on the fifth installment is underway, the makers have officially announced Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi as the lead actresses.
Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi officially join the cast of Kanchana 4
In a recent update from the makers, Pooja Hegde was officially announced as the female lead in Raghava Lawrence-starrer horror-comedy Kanchana 4.
Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “Even in your deepest fears, she comes to captivate you and make you swoon with her beauty, welcome #TheStunningDiva Pooja Hegde to #Kanchana4! A paradise awaits you.”
Apart from Pooja, the makers also announced that Nora Fatehi will play the co-lead role in the film alongside Lawrence.
Talking about the film, Kanchana 4 is the fifth installment of the franchise, directed by the actor himself. The series consists of Muni (2007), Kanchana (2011), Kanchana 2 (2015), and Kanchana 3 (2019).
All of these films are spiritual sequels, with each horror-comedy starring a different cast, except for the lead actor, Raghava Lawrence.
Raghav Lawrence’s next film
Apart from Kanchana 4, Raghava Lawrence is currently filming for Benz. The upcoming vigilante action thriller is part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU), being the fourth installment of the series after Kaithi, Vikram & Leo.
The film will have Nivin Pauly playing a double role as the main antagonist, while Vaathi actress Samyukta will play the female lead. Recently, the team completed its first shooting schedule, which reportedly took place in a location similar to the factory setting of Leo (2023), pointing towards a possible crossover context.
Upcoming movies of Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi
Pooja Hegde will be seen in the lead role in Thalapathy Vijay’s political action film Jana Nayakan. The film, directed by H. Vinoth, will see the actress play the role of Kayla, while Bobby Deol will play the main antagonist.
The film is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, and also stars Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narayan and others in lead roles.
The actress also has films like Varun Dhawan’s Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai and an untitled Dulquer Salmaan project in her kitty.
Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi will next be seen in Kannada film KD: The Devil alongside Dhruv Sarja and Sanjay Dutt.
