Bollywood film JatStarring Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, the controversy has been shaken since its release on 10 April. The Christian community has objected to a scene showing randip inside a church, seeking a ban on the film.
Jat controversy: Christian community demanded a ban on alleged aggressive church view, ‘Randeep Hooda Murdabad’ slogans raised
The controversial view shows that Randeep Hooda stands inside a church, which is under a crucifix above the holy pulp. Another part of the clip has a prayer of members of the congregation. The trailer also includes references to the violence within the church, which has been considered aggressive by the Christian community.
Many Christian community leaders have voiced strong objections, stating that the film’s depiction has hurt their religious sentiments and insulted the purity of the church pulp. A video that roams online also shows the protesters by raising slogans like “Randeep Hooda Murdabad”.
The Christian community initially intended to protest against the cinemas screening. JatBut police intervention stopped the protests. Instead, the representatives presented a memorandum to the Joint Commissioner, demanded a ban on the film and hurt religious sentiments for legal action against the actors and crew. They have released a 48 -hour ultimatum, if no action is taken within the deadline, a warning of protest.
Apart from Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, Jat Regina Cassandra, Siami Kher, Jagapati Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Bablu Prithviraj. The film is produced by Mythri filmmakers and people’s media factory.
Jat The story of a mysterious person played by Sunny follows the village of Chirla in Andhra Pradesh, and finds him suffering under the rule of Ranatunga (Randeep) and his wife Bharati (Regina). Soon begins as a minor conflict, and the hero decides to fight against the harassment faced by the villagers.
Released in theaters on 10 April, the film has received mixed reviews. According to Sacnilk, it crossed the ₹ 50 crore mark on Tuesday to collect an estimated of 6 crore nets and bring its total ₹ 53.50 crore net to India.
