Sunny Deol’s latest release Jat Not only has its action-pack storylines and patriotic enthusiasm in the news, but also for a scene that has strongly criticized members of the Christian community. The controversy revolves around a special sequence, which features the villain of the film played by Randip Hooda inside a church, which some audiences of the Christian community found aggressive and derogatory to their religious sentiments.
The creators of the Jat remove the disputed church scene after protesting by members of the Christian community.
After increasing uproar, producer Jat Has worked fast to overcome concerns. In an official statement, the team clarified its position and confirmed that the scene had been removed from all versions of the film.
The producers said in an official statement, “The film has a backlash for a specific scene. The scene has been removed from the film with immediate effect.
The controversy began to receive traction on social media soon after the release of the film, seeking public apology and action of the Christian community.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Jat Apart from this, Siami Kher, Wainet Kumar Sinning, Regena Cassandra are among others. The film gave Rs. 60 crores at India box office in its first week.
