Although initially it seemed that the film would not even reach the three-figure mark, it managed to gain momentum in its second week, successfully surpassing its final lifetime mark. Despite facing criticism as the weakest installment in the franchise, the biggest win of Jolly LLB 3 was the positive response it received from the audience.
The fate of Jolly LLB 3 is proof that the 8-week OTT window is impacting the theatrical business to a great extent. Audiences prefer such mid-range films as ‘OTT films’ and do not care to enjoy them in cinema halls. The industry needs to extend this OTT window by 6 months to revive the business of films that have no ‘tamasha’ appeal.
