11 tweets worth reading before enjoying Kaara in theatres:
The pairing of Dhanush and Mamita Baiju has impressed cinema lovers. Giving Kara 3.6 out of 5 stars, a user wrote, “Kara keeps things together with steady narration. Karunas and D’s combo is great. Opening is fine, interval is strong. Kannamma song is soothing. Heist is well written. #GVprakash is impressive. Rating: 3.6/5.”
Another wrote that it is explosive. The user further added, “Interval stretches. Even though it is a thriller, the execution of fun elements was good and worked well. There are intervals in the first half and KSR’s acting is not good. Should have reduced the drama in the first half. But overall it is a good film.”
A third reviewer of the film by Vignesh Raja said, “#Kara offers a grounded heist drama experience. Simple narration with a consistent pace. #GVprakash elevates the mood. Rating: 3.6/5.”
In his lengthy review of the film, a cinephile called Kaara a blockbuster film. The social media user tweeted, “Of all the heist related movies I have seen, #Kara is easily one of the best. @vigneshraja89 has clearly done his homework, his writing is sharp, well researched and the execution is top notch. He has crafted the film with great precision and clarity. As for @dhanushraja, I honestly don’t even know how to describe him anymore. It doesn’t matter.” No matter what kind of role he is given, he is completely adept at it and lifts it with ease. His performance is most powerful, truly natural and extremely charming.”
That being said, another person was disappointed that the film did not perform as he expected. While the first half had potential, the second half didn’t feel like it.
