Malayalam action thriller Kalamkaval starring Mammootty in the lead is performing very well at the box office. The action thriller crossed Rs. Crossing the Rs 70 crore mark globally, it became one of Mamukka’s biggest hits. After ending its opening week on a strong Rs. The film recorded excellent earnings in the second weekend with a collection of Rs 62.50 crore. This added approximately Rs. Earned Rs 8.45 crore on second Friday and second Saturday, taking the 9 day earning to Rs. Worldwide earning of Rs 70.95 crore.
Kalamkaval saw great performances in India and abroad. Most of its earnings came from its home ground, which contributed approximately Rs. Earned Rs.29.80 crore, while Rest of India earned approx. Rupee. 5.85 crores, bringing the total domestic revenue to Rs. 35.65 crores. Talking about its overseas collection, the film has earned about 3.9 million US dollars i.e. about Rs 10 crore in 9 days. Directed by Jithin K Jose, the Malayalam action thriller has already emerged as a big hit at the box office. It is expected that this momentum will continue in the coming weeks also. The film has already ranked among the top 5 Mammootty films worldwide at the box office. By the end of the second weekend the film would surpass Turbo’s lifetime earnings. If it manages to maintain the strong momentum, it will even surpass Kannur Squad’s final collection.
