Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) Extended first week box office: Rishab Shetty’s film enters Rs 100 crore club, earns Rs 6.50 crore on day 8

Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) completed its extended first week by collecting Rs 6.25 crore to Rs 6.50 crore on Thursday, registering a decline of 15 per cent compared to Wednesday. Although the drop is a little steeper than normal, since Wednesday’s take was stronger, everything evens out. The eight-day total stands at Rs. 9,999. 101 crore nett.

The Rishab Shetty starrer entered the Rs 100 crore nett mark in Hindi in 8 days, becoming the second Kannada film after KGF Chapter 2 to achieve this feat. Overall, this is the 11th South Indian dubbed film to cross the triple digits in North India.

Kantara: Chapter 1 looks for good jumps on the second weekend

Backed by Hombale Films, Kantara: Chapter 1 is expected to see a good jump in the second weekend as there is no significant release. In fact, the film will continue to dominate the Hindi box office until the release of Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat during Diwali weekend 2025. The mythological epic saga is expected to aim to add another Rs 45-50 crore to its tally in the second week.

The film has a good chance of succeeding even after Thamma’s release, considering the audience response it has received. If it manages to perform on expected lines, the Rishab Shetty starrer will also ensure to enter the Rs 200 crore mark in Hindi.
