Kartik Aryan has officially started shooting for his much-awaited fantasy adventure film NagzillaThe actor shared the announcement on social media on November 1, 2025, posting a photo of him holding a clapboard from the film’s mahurat shot. Along with the image, Kartik wrote, “1 year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3, 1st day of #NaagZilla Har Har Mahadev / 14th August 2026,” revealing that the film is set to release in Independence Day 2026.

clapboard confirmed Nagzilla being directed by Fukre Fame Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Cinematography by Amalendu Chaudhary. The project is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in association with Mahavir Jain Films, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership between the two banners to deliver high-concept entertainment.
A source had earlier told IHNS“Karthik Aryan will start shooting Nagzilla In Mumbai from 1st November. The actor and the entire team are excited to start shooting. Pre-production is going on in full swing and the team is all set. According to the plan, the target is to release the film on Independence Day next year.
The insider also hinted that the lead actress will be revealed soon, adding, “The makers have not taken the final decision yet, but it will definitely be a surprise that will delight the fans who have been waiting for this unique film.”
The interesting thing is that Karthik will juggle Nagzilla With Anurag Basu’s upcoming directorial debut, for which he will resume shooting this month. Despite his busy schedule, sources describe the actor as “a thorough professional” who has carefully planned his dates for both projects.
