The latest Kannada film, KD: The Devil registered a tremendous opening at the box office. The film starring Dhruv Sarja in the lead alongside Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Nora Fatehi, Jisoo Sengupta and others opened with Rs. 4 crores at Karnataka box office. This is a low opening considering the budget and scale of the film.
KD: The Devil received a very poor response from the audience, which should be a matter of concern for the makers. Had the film recorded positive word-of-mouth, it would have seen a much better opening. The action drama directed by Prem needs to show strong growth over the weekend and then good hold on weekdays to reach a respectable total.
As of now, the movie is heading towards a disappointing end, but let’s wait for Monday for a conclusion. Dhruv Sarja was previously seen in Martin, which had disappointing results at the box office.
Apart from the lead cast, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeepa also made a guest appearance in the film, which is said to be the biggest highlight of the film. It will be interesting to see how the film performs over the weekend.
The box office collections of KD: The Devil in Karnataka are as follows:
| Day | box office |
| 1 | Rupee. 4 crores |
| Total | Rupee. 4 crore gross |
