According to reports, the incident came to light when Kirti was at a multiplex near Fun Republic Mall in Andheri West, Mumbai. During his trip, he reportedly received an alert on his mobile phone informing him of a foreign transaction of $2,525 on Aeromexico Airlines through his credit card. The unexpected notification immediately raised concerns, as the actress had not authorized any such payment.

It is said that when the transaction seemed suspicious, Kirti contacted the customer care helpline of her bank without any delay. During the verification process, bank officials reportedly found that several unauthorized transactions were made using his credit card. In total, four separate transactions were processed without her consent, resulting in a financial loss of Rs 2,43,852.

As a precautionary measure, the bank immediately blocked the credit card to prevent any further misuse. The actress later lodged a complaint at the Amboli police station, following which an FIR was registered against unknown accused under relevant sections related to cyber fraud.

In her statement to the police, Kirti reportedly said that she has never shared her credit card password or confidential banking information with anyone. Investigators suspect the fraud to have been carried out through sophisticated digital methods, including the possible use of malware or spyware that compromised her phone or banking credentials. However, the exact mechanism has not yet been determined.

The investigation has now been initiated by the cyber cell, which is working with local police officials to identify the culprits. Authorities are reportedly examining bank reference numbers, transaction records and other digital footprints in an effort to trace those involved in fraudulent activity.

The incident is another reminder of the growing threat from cyber crime, with online financial fraud targeting individuals through increasingly advanced hacking techniques.

On the professional front, Kirti Kulhari was last seen in the web-series Shekhar Home. He recently celebrated a major milestone in his career after completing the shooting of his first feature film as a producer. Sharing updates with fans on social media, the actress reflected on the emotional journey behind the project.
