Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, established records and has become the most profitable animated film of all time at the Indian box office. Released on August 25, the film opened its doors on a low note but experienced growth week a week, and finally reached a successful box office race.
Presented by Hombale Films of Kantara and KGF, Mahavatar Narsimha ran for 8 weeks continuous at the box office, despite major outings like Son of Sardaar 2, Dhadak 2, War 2, Coolie, Baaghi 4, Param Sundari and others. Streaming now on Netflix, the film has finished its theatrical race on a historic note.
Mahavatar Narsimha envelops the theatrical race in Hindi at Rs 169 Core
The animated film started its trip to the box office by collecting RS 1.35 crores net on the day of opening. With delusional word of mouth, the film has come back instantly and raked more than Rs Crere net during the opening week. He also witnessed a peak in his collections during the second week, making Rs 50 crores net. The film maintained a strong grip during its third week and added Rs 48.75 crossed in the tally, entering the RS 100 Core Net Club.
The mythological animated feature film struck Rs 21.75 crosses during its fourth week, despite competition from two major Pan-India outings: War 2 and Colie. He finished his fourth week by winning his cumulative gains at Rs 150 net in Hindi.
Mahavatar Narsimha slowed down later and since then he added Rs 18.50 crosses to the count, finishing all his theatrical race in Hindi to an impressive figure of Rs 169 crores.
Mahavatar Narsimha catches third place among the largest coarse 2025
The film directed by Ashwin Kumar exceeded the life gains of Sitaare Zameen by, Raid 2 and Housefull 5. It became the third largest number of 2025 at the Hindi box office.
Mahavatar Narsimha only remained behind Chhaava and Saiyaara. In addition, the film appeared as the largest coarse animation in India.
