Mahesh Babu’s son Gautam reviews Baahubali: The Epic in the US and calls it a ‘hair-raising experience’

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s son, Gautham Ghattamaneni, recently attended the grand US premiere of SS Rajamouli’s re-edited blockbuster, Baahubali – The Epic. The film, a 3 hour 45 minute version that combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, is set for re-release worldwide on October 31. Gautham shared his thoughts about watching the iconic saga on one of the biggest screens in the world.

Speaking to TV9, Gautham said, “The best thing for me is that I didn’t have to wait for 2 years to see why Kattappa killed Bahubali. But overall, the revamp has been done very well. It’s so incredible to see our Telugu film getting so much international recognition. It’s one of the biggest feelings for me as someone who has grown up watching such films. I’m getting goosebumps, I can’t explain that feeling.”

Here’s what Gautam liked about the re-edited version

Gautam described the experience as surreal and thrilling. “Watching Baahubali on one of the biggest screens in the world is an experience,” he said. “It feels both thrilling and meaningful to see a Telugu film celebrated internationally on such a large scale.” He expressed his joy at reliving the cinematic miracle, saying, “Every second gave me goosebumps. It’s one of my favorite experiences, an epic movie of epic proportions. I can’t even explain that feeling.”

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali – The Epic merges both parts of the original franchise into a single, seamless cinematic experience. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Nassar in important roles. The re-edited version is designed to attract both new audiences and fans of the original films.

Releasing worldwide on October 31, Baahubali – The Epic will be released in multiple languages and formats. Early reviews from the US premiere, including Gautam’s reaction, suggest that the film successfully replicates the magic of India’s biggest blockbusters while attracting a global audience.
