One of the most respected production houses of Bollywood, Nadivala grandson Entertainment (NGE), with a heritage spread over 75 years, has issued a strong statement, addressing the growing concern of immoral practices around film reviews.

In an official note shared on social media, NGE clarified its unwavering support for speech and freedom of expression, stating that the company has never objected – and would never object – for a fair review or creative criticism of its films. The statement admitted that honest response is important for filmmakers and to the overall health of the industry.
However, the studio revealed that it has recently faced troubled evidence of forced recovery efforts. According to NGE, some individuals allegedly demanded money and threatened to tarnish the reputation of films, directors and prominent actors when their demands were not met. The production house has now referred to the case to investigative officials, calling for valid action against those involved.
The company also clarified that its works are not aimed at the purpose of real film critics, independent critics, or youtubers who contribute to a healthy cinematic discourse. “We give importance to honest work and fully welcome the film industry’s contribution to the healthy progress,” the statement states.
The note concluded with the assurance of NGE that while creative criticism would always be welcomed, malicious practices threatens the integrity of cinema, will be strongly dealt with under the law.
