After finding herself at the center of an unexpected social media controversy, Nushrat Bharucha has finally addressed the ongoing speculation over a video she shared during the celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)’s historic IPL win.

The actress had posted a clip capturing the moment when RCB won the IPL trophy. However, while the focus of the video was on the team’s victory, some social media users claimed to hear suggestive sounds in the background. The clip quickly went viral, with many netizens alleging that the actress was moaning and others claiming to have heard slapping sounds.
Responding to the controversy, Nusrat took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight. Sharing a picture of the living room and the television where she watched the match, she wrote, “Kuch log ne badh hi kar di hai. Ek puple ke cryne ki awaaz se itna baal macht hai (Some people have crossed the limits. Just because of a puppy crying) and someone has even issued a fake explanation from my side. So here’s the truth… I was watching the match at my friends house and their little puppy was making ‘crying sounds’. Here’s the video Made by my friend at the same time from a different angle with the same sound.”
Reiterating her clarification, the actress also posted additional shots of the house along with footage of the pup. “This is the house where I was watching the match. This is the puppy. This is a video from later that same night. Scared of what actually happened, I was advised to delete that video and I did. People, calm your wild thoughts! Having a mobile phone does not encourage harassment. Don’t misinterpret or follow blindly. Think and act responsibly”, she wrote.
In another post, she once again emphasized her point, saying, “This is the house where I was watching the match. This is the puppy. This is a video from later that same night. With her clarification, Nushrat Bharucha made it clear that the audio heard in the now-deleted video was captured inadvertently and was being misinterpreted online. The actress also called out the spread of misinformation and urged social media users to act responsibly before drawing conclusions.
