‘O Romeo’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri has collected Rs. 25 lakhs on the fourth Monday. The action romantic drama recorded a decline of 15 percent compared to last Friday. Though the hold is commendable, it will not be able to help the film in any way as this decline is already coming due to low collections.
In its fourth week, the film earned Rs. 1.45 crore in first four days. It finished its fourth week at Rs. But thinking of ending it. 1.70 crores or so. Currently stands at Rs. At Rs 59.45 crore, O’ Romeo finished its 28-day theatrical run at around Rs. 60 crores or so. This will spell its end at the box office as well.
This film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj has not performed well at the box office. The numbers it manages to achieve on the crutch of a buy-one-get-one offer. BOGO can help with the assumption of higher NETT numbers, but it comes at an additional expense under the share price or P&A; However, anyone would like to see it. That said, even if the film had performed somewhat better, like Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, it still would not have been enough to cover the budget. The cost was a bit high considering the face value of the film.
