OG (they call it OG), with Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, finally struck cinemas today. The action thriller, which also features Emraan Hashmi as the main antagonist, took a boring start in Hindi, largely due to little promotion in the belt of northern India.
But, this film Emraan Hashmi did not release on a large scale in Hindi, which would have given it a good push on the day of the opening. It should be noted that everything the film has collected in Hindi came from the public, who are fans of Mass Cinema and Love South Indian Duwbed Films.
OG opens on RS 40 Lakh in Hindi, needs a good jump during the weekend
OG jumped on Friday’s regular release and opted for an outing on Thursday. According to estimates, the action thriller led by SUJEETH collected RS 40 LAKH NET on the day of opening to the box office in Hindi. The film should target a solid jump during the weekend to bring its total peak to a respectable silhouette.
Since there is no major outing in Hindi this weekend, the Pawan Kalyan Starrer certainly has a chance to attract the public to the cinemas. However, he will have to face the exit from Holduver, Jolly LLB 3.
Besides OG, there is the comfortable of Neeraj Ghaywan, who should make a nominal company given his artistic approach. However, Starrer Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor could surprise at the box office since the film generated a fairly decent buzz since his selection at the Academy Awards.
OG takes a starter start elsewhere
Although the film did not take a good start in Hindi, it storms the box office, especially in the Telugu states and North America. According to estimates, its global figure of the opening day will be Rs 100 Croser, which is a record for Pawan Kalyan and Soujeeth.
Besides Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, the film also features Priyanka Mohanan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and others.
