Tovino Thomas is all set to hit the big screen soon with his film Pallichattambi. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the action film was initially scheduled to release this week, but has now been postponed to Vishu.
Tovino Thomas’s Pallichattambi to release for Vishu 2026
In the recent update shared by the makers on social media, Pallichattambi Now it is scheduled to release on April 15, 2026, coinciding with Vishu this year. Sharing the update, the team wrote, “Pallichattambi will release in theaters on Vishu day. We have worked hard to tell the story of an extraordinary scoundrel, who was forgotten in the renaissance history of Kerala. Due to the Election Code of Conduct, there are technical difficulties in obtaining the censor certificate. Hence, the release of the film has been postponed to 15th April, Vishu day. On this occasion, we look forward to your support and encouragement.”

Set in Kerala during the 1950s and early 1960s, Pallichattambi is the story of a young rogue who is hired by villagers to oppose the tyrannical forces that disrupt their peaceful lives. His arrival brings hope to the victims and trains the villagers to defend themselves. The film depicts their journey and whether their efforts to save the villagers succeed.
The film stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Kayadu Lohar As co-leader. The supporting cast includes Sudheer Karamana, Vijayaraghavan, Baburaj, TG Ravi, Alexander Prashanth, Johnny Antony, Vinod Kedamangalam and Nibaraj Naushad.
The film is directed by Dijo Jose Antony and produced by S. Suresh Babu has written. The music is composed by Jake Bejoy, while Tijo Tomi handles the cinematography. Editing and DI is handled by Srijit Sarang.
Earlier the film was scheduled to release on April 9, 2026, but due to the assembly elections it was postponed to April 10, 2026. Now, due to the delay in getting the censor certificate, the release has been pushed once again to April 15, 2026.
