Malayalam film Patriot did not do well at the box office. The film added another crore rupees. The earnings on the sixth day became Rs 2.20 crore, taking the total earnings for 6 days to Rs. It’s done. Earned Rs 25.75 crore at Kerala box office.
Starring Mammootty and Mohanlal in lead roles along with Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana and others, the film collected Rs. 27 crores. This would be very low for a film of this caliber.
The Mahesh Narayanan directorial needs to take off in the second weekend to reach a respectable total. The Patriot was first seen as a potential RS. The film was supposed to earn Rs 100 crores, but now it is struggling even to reach Rs 100 crores. Gross figure of 50 crores in Kerala. Let’s see whether we see some increase in it in the coming days or not.

For those unaware, Patriot is one of the biggest films of Malayalam cinema to date. The film marks the reunion of two legends of Mollywood, Mohanlal and Mammootty, after almost 18 years. The next big release of Malayalam cinema is Drishyam 3. It will be interesting to see whether the Mohanlal starrer manages to live up to the cult status of its franchise.
