Ram Charan is currently working on his next release Peddi, which will release in theaters on March 27, 2026. As the makers get ready to release the first single, they have now shared a major update on the film.
Peddi First Single: What is Chikiri? Promo will be released soon
Ahead of the release of Peddi’s first single, the producers made an announcement revealing the track’s title, “Chikiri”. Teasing fans curious about the word, the makers wrote, “#WhatisChikiri? Know it tomorrow at 11.07 am. The world will find its rhythm and start vibrating. #PEDDI Global releasing on March 27, 2026.”
Before this announcement, Ram Charan had shared a picture of AR Rahman, Mohit Chauhan and Buchi Babu Sana. While sharing the post, the actor wrote, “What’s cooking, friends?”
The single is set to release soon, it appears that Mohit Chauhan will lend his voice to the track.
Earlier, the makers of Peddi officially released the first look of Janhvi Kapoor from the film. The Bollywood actress is set to play the character of Achiamma, a “firebrand” character who is vivacious, adventurous and full of enthusiasm.
The new poster features Janhvi in a charming village avatar, which marks her second Telugu film with Jr NTR after Devara: Part 1.

Peddi is said to revolve around a cricket tournament based on a rural backdrop. Ram Charan will be donning a never-seen-before avatar, joined by talented actors like Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and others.
Recently Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor went to Sri Lanka to shoot a song for the film. With ARR composing both the songs and the background score, the upcoming number is expected to be a chartbuster upon release.
Reportedly, the film has completed around 60 percent of its filming, and the makers have already finalized the editing of the first part.
Ram Charan’s next film
After completing Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar for his next project, tentatively titled RC17. The director is reportedly currently working on the script.
