Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, is set for theatrical release on March 27, 2026. The sports action drama had earlier revealed the RRR actor’s character through a teaser this year, and now, the makers have shared the first look of Janhvi’s character, Achiamma.
Janhvi Kapoor will play the ‘firebrand’ character of Achiamma in Peddi.
Sharing the official update on social media, the makers wrote, “Our #Peddi Ka love with firebrand attitude. Introducing the beautiful Janhvi Kapoor as #Achiamma. #Peddi Global release on March 27, 2026.”
Peddi’s team has shared two new posters of the film, in which Janhvi’s charming style is visible. The actress is seen playing a bubbly and sassy role in the Ram Charan starrer, she looks absolutely stunning in her rural avatar.
Talking about the film, Peddi is said to revolve around a cricket tournament based on the backdrop of a village. With Ram Charan donning a never-before-seen avatar, he will be joined by a talented cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and others.
Recently Charan and Janhvi went to Sri Lanka to shoot a song for the film. Since the musical track and background score is composed by AR Rahman, the upcoming number is expected to be a chartbuster upon release.
Earlier, the Game Changer actor himself had shared an update about the first single from the film and revealed that it will be releasing soon.
Apparently, the film has completed around 60% of its filming, with the makers having already finalized the editing of the first part.
Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s work front
After completing Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar for their tentatively titled project, RC17. The upcoming film will mark the second collaboration of the actor and filmmaker after the massive hit Rangasthalam.
Although further details about the film have not been made public yet, reports suggest that the Pushpa director is currently working on the final draft of the screenplay.
Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, was last seen in the lead role in Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari, co-starring Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, received mixed reviews upon theatrical release.
