Filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa has issued a detailed statement on reports of a legal dispute with Ekta Kapoor-led Balaji Telefilms, which has reportedly affected the shooting schedule. Bhagam Part 2.

In his statement, Shandilya said that he had issued a notice to terminate his arrangement with Balaji Telefilms, as per his contractual rights. He said, “It has now been more than two weeks since the termination notice was issued. If Balaji Telefilms believed that it had any sustainable legal ground to challenge the termination, it was open to it to approach the appropriate civil court. No such proceedings have been initiated.”
Addressing reports of criminal allegations, the director described them as “exaggerated and baseless”, and said that these appeared to be attempts at intimidation after realizing that there were no viable legal grounds to oppose the dismissal. He said he is confident about his legal position and will respond to any allegations through the proper legal process.
Importantly, Shandilya made it clear that Bhagam Part 2 Stays on track. “It may also be clarified that the film Bhagam Part 2 It is absolutely on track and the project will proceed as per schedule,” he said, refuting speculations that the sequel has been put on hold due to the controversy.
This development comes after reports that the shooting of the sequel starring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Paresh Rawal was halted due to legal complications.
Shandilya concluded his note by urging members of the film and creative industry to pay attention to the situation and draw their own conclusions when entering professional associations.
It appears that the matter is now moving towards further legal and professional deliberations, although the future of the film remains under close watch.
