Rab Da Radio 3 Box Office: Tarsem Jassar, Nimrat Khaira starrer takes good start in India, posts Rs. More than 4 crores worldwide on the first day

Punjabi film Rabb Da Radio 3 has taken a good start at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 10 crore. Earned around Rs 1.30 crore on its opening day (total Rs 1.10 crore). Led by Tarsem Jassar, the third installment of the franchise also performed well overseas, earning around 325K USD (Rs 3 crore), taking its worldwide debut to Rs. Approximately 4.30 crores.

It is not that Rs. Earning Rs 1 crore is a big number for a Punjabi film today; This used to be in the mid-2010s, but recently the Punjabi film box office has declined domestically, with the last film making Rs. It was about a year ago, 1 crore nett plus opening day. Under these circumstances, if everything was going well then this too should be viewed in a more positive light. Yesterday was Good Friday holiday. Holidays certainly helped in a big way overseas, although the surge in India needs to be seen. If it can grow today and then get a normal bounce on Sunday, it will put the film in a very good position. The film is being shot openly, with a few holidays to help out.

The first Rabb Da Radio film released in 2017, which was also the debut film of Tarsem Jassar, performed very well and emerged as a hit. It opened at Rs. 80 lakhs on its opening day, which was an excellent result for a debutant at that time. The second film released in 2019, and turned out to be an average affair. Now the third film has taken a good start and if it gets the right trend then it can also become a hit. In March, the industry got its first hit of the year with Ishq De Lekhe. It will be exciting to see this momentum continue with Rab Da Radio 3.
