The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) has intensified its investigation into financial fraud of Rs 60 crore, which includes actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband businessman Raj Kundra. According to officials, Kundra’s statement was recorded for about five hours this week, and he is likely to re -call next week for further inquiries.

According to reports, during the investigation, Kundra allegedly claimed that a part of the disputed amount was paid to actresses Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia. Sources told IANS that EOV has detected about Rs 25 crore in direct transfer from the accounts of the company in the accounts of the company in the accounts of the company, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia. Transactions were also associated with Balaji Entertainment. Investigators further disclosed that the company was under stress during finance demonetisation, causing a series of suspected fund transfer that are now subject to investigation. Kundra has also been asked to present video content produced for “Best Deal”. While he said that they were already provided to the property cell, the authorities intended to take them into custody once again for the near examination.
Confirming the development, the Mumbai Police issued a statement: “Investigation is going on against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in the alleged fraud of Rs 60 crore. A summons was issued to Raj Kundra by the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police. She was asked to appear before the police for investigation.”
The case is under investigation, in which more name surface is expected. EOW is expected to call other people associated with transactions in the coming days.
