It celebrates the enduring friendship and mutual respect between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, who began their journey together in Tamil cinema before becoming superstars. The project is being produced by Haasan and producer R. It also celebrates 44 years of Raj Kamal Films International under the leadership of Mahendran.The statement highlights that the film will merge Rajinikanth’s “magnetic screen presence” with Sundar C’s trademark directorial energy, promising grand scale and emotional entertainment. With the release being presented by Red Giant Movies, #Thalaivar173 is scheduled for a grand theatrical opening during Pongal 2027.
