The entire film industry broke down due to the death of Dharmendra. Celebs from Bollywood, television and south entertainment industry are mourning the demise of the legendary actor. Rajinikanth, Mahesh Babu, AR Rahman and others from South cinema paid tribute to the veteran actor.
Rajinikanth tweeted on his Mahesh Babu also expressed grief over the irreparable loss and wrote, “Cinema has lost one of its strongest voices today… May Dharmendra Deol Sir’s soul rest in peace. The honesty and weight you have brought to every character across generations and eras will always inspire us… Praying for strength and courage to his family during these difficult times…”
AR Rahman called Dharam ji a ‘timeless icon’ and said, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Dharmendra ji…a timeless icon whose grace, humility and strength of spirit lit up the screen and touched generations. His art will live on, and his kindness will be remembered. My heartfelt prayers for peace and strength for his family and fans around the world.”
Jr NTR also condoled the actor’s demise. He wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about Dharmendra ji’s demise… The era he defined can never be replaced and the warmth he brought to Indian cinema will always be with us. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire family.”
Allu Arjun shared a monochrome picture of the actor and tweeted, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of the great actor #Dharmendra ji. A great man who touched millions of hearts. My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fans.”
Chiranjeevi, Gopichand Malineni, Prabhudeva and others also wrote long notes on their social media handles and paid tribute to the actor.
Additionally, the makers of Peddi starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor canceled an announcement event scheduled for today. The makers tweeted, “We are deeply saddened by the news of Dharmendra ji’s demise. The era he defined can never be replaced. In this hour of grief and as a mark of respect, the announcement scheduled for 4.05 pm today is being postponed. Team #Peddi extends its heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire family.”
