Later that day, Yadav surrendered in Tihar Jail and began serving his six-month sentence. Prison officials confirmed that standard procedures were followed.

In the wake of his imprisonment, several public figures have provided financial support.

Speaking to IANS, he said, “Rajpal ji has given immense joy to the audience and has been an integral part of Indian cinema. This support is not about money; it is about standing with a fellow human being in his time of need.”
