Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Envisioned as a massive, two-part cinematic spectacle with global collaboration. Set nearly 5000 years ago, the project aims to blend advanced technology with profound storytelling, positioning itself as a visually gorgeous yet emotionally resonant retelling of the ancient epic.
The film has already garnered a lot of buzz after its initial release, which included launches in multiple cities in India and a major showcase in Times Square. With the upcoming ‘Ram’ flick, the makers are raising the scale further by turning it into a worldwide fan-driven festival.
The film stars an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
Backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with eight-time Oscar winner DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is set for a worldwide IMAX release. The first part is scheduled to arrive during Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment in Diwali 2027.
