Financial dispute has come to light between Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and don 3 Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment after Singh’s exit from the much-awaited action thriller was reported. The production house is demanding a compensation of Rs 40 crore for the alleged loss suffered after the actor walked out of the project.

Sources cited in a report by Variety India indicate that Excel Entertainment claims to have invested heavily in the early stages of development based on Ranveer Singh’s commitment to play the lead role – including scheduling, location planning and hiring the crew.
It is being said that Ranveer Singh will strongly oppose this demand. According to the report, they argue that they should not be held financially responsible for leaving the project. The report states, “Ranveer claims he left the project because he was unhappy with the script. He kept asking for changes to be made and didn’t like what he read in the final draft.”
The report further states that several department heads were relieved of their roles and asked to find alternative work, with the production house citing the move as a financial blow. This element of the dispute highlights that such disagreements can have cascading effects on film crews and production timelines.
A two-hour meeting was held between Ranveer Singh and Excel representatives last Friday to resolve the differences, but sources told reporters that no agreement could be reached. With tensions continuing to persist, the Producers Guild of India (PGI) has stepped in to mediate between the parties in hopes of finding common ground and preventing further escalation of tensions.
