This has been confirmed. Finally, a biopic on Bharat Ratna, Tamil Carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi is in the making. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, the long-awaited biopic will star the very natural Sai Pallavi in the lead role.

Although there is no official announcement yet, it has been reliably learned that Sai Pallavi has started learning Carnatic singing in preparation for what will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge of her career.
A source told this writer, “While Gautam is completing his research on the subject, Sai is watching all the footage on which she can get to know the legendary singer.”
This project will start later this year.
