Saiyaara has created history, becoming only the third Indian film to exceed 3 million GBP at the UK box office. The YRF musical collected 19K GBP in its sixth Friday, pushing its total brut at 3.008 million GBP. The film is currently the third most profitable Indian film in the United Kingdom, just behind Pathaan (4.38 million GBP) and Jawan (3.10 million GB). It is on the right track to exceed Jawan on Monday, climbing second in the list of all time.
Saiyaara box office collections in the United Kingdom are:
First week – GBP 543,000
Second week – GBP 1,017,000 (SAVE)
Third week – GBP 834,000 (SAVE)
Week four – GBP 414,000 (SAVE)
Week five – GBP 179,000
6th Friday – 19,000 GBP
Total – GBP 3,008,000
Saiyaara experienced a phenomenal race at the British box office, underlined by the fact that he has three weekly records in his name. Even during his fifth week, when he faced a rigid competition of two major outings, War 2 and Coolie, Saiyaara still managed the second fifth week the highest week for an Indian film. To judge by the way in which his sixth week began, he is ready to establish another weekly record, perhaps more to come.
Abroad as a whole, the film has exceptionally performed well, totaling USD 19 million so far. The United Kingdom has become its largest territory, followed closely by water. There was a time when the United Kingdom was the main market abroad for Bollywood films. He had a drop in the 2010s, being behind the United States, the United Arab Emirates and even Australia. Recently, the market has returned from the dead, making a recovery, most of the films that are doing well, but none did it like Saiyaara, which brought the flavor of a bygone era.
