Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, almost a month after he was admitted following a minor brain hemorrhage. He was admitted to the hospital on February 17 and has been under medical observation since then.

According to reports, Khan was undergoing treatment from Dr. Jalil Parkar during his stay. Doctors had earlier indicated that his condition was stable, although he was kept under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) in the initial phase of treatment. Over a few weeks, his health steadily improved, leading to his discharge.
The news of his hospitalization had garnered a lot of attention and family members including Salman Khan were visiting him regularly. Several members of the film fraternity also met him or shared updates about his health.
His son Arbaaz Khan recently confirmed that the veteran author is recovering. Talking to reporters, he said that his father is showing positive symptoms and is continuously improving.
Longtime collaborator and friend Javed Akhtar also shared an encouraging update at a public event, mentioning that Khan was able to sit, talk and had made clear progress in his recovery.
Actor Aamir Khan, who came to meet his family during his stay in the hospital, had earlier expressed hope for his recovery. He mentioned that he could not meet Khan in person due to ICU restrictions, but he spent time with the family, who remained optimistic about his improving health.
