Sarvam Maya became a major blockbuster at the worldwide box office. This Malayalam film has been performing very well ever since its release in theatres. The film, which released on Christmas day, has now completed its extended opening week registering a strong growth on the eighth day (New Year). Estimates suggest that Sarvam Maya grossed more than Rs. It earned Rs 75.50 crore in its 8-day theatrical run, becoming Nivin Pauly’s highest-grossing film to date.
The horror comedy crossed the lifetime earnings of Premam (Rs 72.10 crore) in just 8 days and topped the charts among Nivin Pauly’s highest-grossing films. The film’s earnings don’t seem to be stopping any time soon. It is expected that it will register great success in the second weekend also.
Based on current trends, Sarvam Maya is moving towards Rs. 100 crore gross at the worldwide box office. It is expected to achieve this figure in a few weeks and become the actor’s first film to enter the three-figure club.
Talking about Kerala box office, the film earned around Rs 10 crore. Earning 36 crores in 8 days, which is a fantastic figure to say the least. It is expected to enter Rs. 50 crore club in its home ground soon.
For those unaware, Sarvam Maya is a horror comedy fantasy film. Apart from Nivin Pauly, the film also stars Aju Varghese, Janardhan and Preeti Mukundan, Arun Ajikumar, Raghunath Paleri, Madhu Wariyar and many others in lead roles. The music and background score is composed by Justin Prabhakaran, with cinematography handled by Sharan Velayudhan.
