According to very reliable sources, Salman Khan is in talks with Excel Entertainment for a period film, which will be directed by National Award-winning director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

A source shared with IHNS, “Salman Khan is looking to sign for bigger projects and believes that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film will do justice to his larger than life aura. He has heard the script and is impressed with the characteristics of his character. He will be playing the role of one of the most popular characters in Indian history and will be undergoing a complete makeover of his body structure.”
The source further told us that Salman has not signed yet, and discussions are going on with Excel Entertainment on multiple fronts, especially shooting days and remuneration. The source further told IHNS, “If all goes well, Salman will start shooting the film by summer 2027, right after wrapping up the Raj and DK directed superhero comedy.”
More clarity on the project will emerge later this year as Salman needs time before taking any decisions, but for now, he is excited to embark on this challenging journey of playing a warrior from Indian history.
