Reliable sources have confirmed the development and revealed that the decision was taken by Jio Studios to increase the valuation of non-theatrical rights.

A trade source told IHNS, “Netflix wanted to buy both the installments for Rs 175 crore before the release of the first part. But with immense confidence in its product, Jio Studios waited for the release of the first part and secured a massive deal of Rs 150 crore for the second part alone. This is almost double the price paid by Netflix to acquire the first part.”
The source further tells us that digital rights stalwart The share was sold for one rupee.
