As Punjab struggles with one of the worst floods in its history, many Bollywood celebrities and their foundation have come forward to expand their foundation assistance, ensuring timely relief and rehabilitation for the affected families. Shah Rukh Khan’s Mir Foundation is actively supporting flood affected communities by distributing necessary relief kits in partnership with local NGOs. These kits include medicines, hygiene supply, food items, mosquito nets, torpulin sheets, folding beds, cotton mattresses and other requirements. The initiative will cover about 1,500 houses in Amritsar, Patiala, Fazilka and Ferozepur districts, which address the needs of immediate health, safety and shelter, while helping families rebuild their lives with dignity.

Earlier, Salman Khan’s human foundation also gathered resources for rescue efforts. The organization sent five boats, three of which are being used to protect actively trapped residents, provide food supply, and support volunteers. The remaining two boats were formally handed over to the Ferozepur border. Additionally, Punjab Tourism President Deepak Bali confirmed that the Foundation has promised to adopt flood -affected border villages near Hussainiwala, when the situation becomes stable.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has contributed Rs 5 crore to relief and rehabilitation work in Punjab. Sharing his views, the actor said: “I maintain my views on it. Yes, I am giving Rs 5 crore to buy relief material for Punjab flood victims, but who am I to ‘donate’ anyone. I think I think when I get a chance to help, I think it is my very young.
On the ground, actor Randeep Hooda was one of the first people to expand direct help. He flew to Punjab soon after the flood and individually involved in relief efforts, assisted rescue teams and helped distribute assistance.
