After a weekend full of celebrations for his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to work with renewed vigour. The superstar, who celebrated his birthday with an intimate gathering at his Alibaug property and a special fan meeting in Mumbai, will be back on the sets for his much-awaited action film. Shahrukh Khan to resume shooting for King in Mumbai on November 5: Report
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King This is the first on-screen collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan with his daughter Suhana Khan along with Abhishek Bachchan. The project, which will begin principal photography in June 2025, is generating buzz not only for its casting but also for its ambitious action sequences. A report in Mid-Day says that the stunt unit has spent about three weeks rehearsing for a high-octane phase of filming – a hybrid chase-combat set piece that is set to push the boundaries for Bollywood action.
The upcoming 15-20 day schedule will focus on complex stunt choreography, combining hand-to-hand combat with tactical gunplay, wire-assisted jumps and close-quarter grappling. Shah Rukh Khan, who is known for his commitment to roles, will reportedly perform many of these complex action beats himself, with the team using a custom-designed rig to ensure both safety and spectacular results.
Director Siddharth Anand, who last made a record-breaking film with Shahrukh Pathan In 2023, the first look of the film was released recently on 2 November. The opening scenes introduced audiences to a changed King Khan and gave a glimpse of a stylish, action-packed world. King Promises. The film aims to complete its theatrical portions by the end of the year, with plans to complete the remaining major action sequences and musical numbers soon thereafter.
