This is pure bliss for me. I was really dancing when I was announced the winner. I can’t even express how happy I am. I am happy that he won for this film. From the first shot we took, I knew that he deserves it. I still remember that moment – how real and real he was. From that moment, I was confident that he would shine in this role.

Was Abhishek your first choice to play the role of Arjun Sen?
Yes, while researching Arjun Sen’s character, I realized how Abhishek could fit in a fully role. The methods he raised, the signs of personality, the way Arjun Sen is talking and bombing – Abhishek caught all this. In the film, Arjun says he hates manipulation, yet he is constantly manipulating with his body language. Abhishek was deeply associated with that contradiction. It touched her personally, and he completely immersed himself that we never saw Abhishek Bachchan on the set – only Arjun Sen.
Tell me something about working with Abhishek.
When I first met him, beyond being a brilliant actor, I came to know that he is a beautiful person and a completely gentle man. He is very knowledgeable. He had already understood a lot about the medical science aspects of Arjun’s story – the surgery she passed away, her relationship with her daughter. Abhishek absorbed all this in his performance. As a father, I could understand how deeply he was associated with that element. This made his portrayal even more true.
Do you think more people should see I want to talk,
Absolutely. This award is largely eligible, but I really want to watch more people. Many viewers still have not seen it, and they need. Abhishek has shown what is a deep talented, artistic artist in this film. I hope this recognition accepts people the great actor that he is really
