Shooting of Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming biographical drama eta It has been put on hold after the actress suffered an injury while shooting a Manglik Lavani sequence. According to a report in Mid-Day, the incident occurred during an intense dance performance, which was designed to reflect the powerful stage presence of folk legend Vithabai Narayangaonkar, whom Kapoor portrays in the film.

The report quoted a source as saying that the choreography required Kapoor to perform a series of rapid, consecutive steps according to Ajay-Atul’s high-tempo composition. The source said, “Lavani music typically has fast-paced beats and a fast tempo. In this song, Shraddha – wearing a vibrant Nauvari saree, heavy jewelery and a kamarpatta – had to take several consecutive steps to the beat of the dholki.”
To portray a young Vithabai authentically, Kapoor also gained more than 15 kg for the role. The source shared that during a step, she inadvertently transferred her weight to her left foot, lost her balance and injured herself.
Director Laxman Utekar immediately postponed the Nashik schedule. However, Kapoor is hopeful that Lost Days can still be used, suggesting reworking the plan to accommodate close-up scenes. The team then moved to a set in Mud Island, where they filmed emotional portions for a few days. But as the pain increased, production had to be stopped again. The unit is now expected to reconvene after two weeks once Kapoor has fully recovered.
