Sonu Nigam sold five plots in Karjat for Rs 95 lakh: Report
The recent transaction involves five adjacent land parcels located in Sewale village of Karjat. Collectively spanning about 1.067 hectares, the land parcels were sold through multiple deals registered on May 12, 2026. Documents show that stamp duty of Rs 5.7 lakh was paid for the transaction.
According to registration papers, a land parcel of 0.21 hectare was purchased by a group of four persons for Rs 20 lakh. Another adjacent plot of 0.215 hectares was acquired by two home buyers for the same amount.
In a separate transaction, a 0.225 hectare parcel was sold to an individual buyer for Rs 20 lakh. Meanwhile, another plot of 0.20 hectare was purchased by two persons for Rs 17 lakh. The fifth parcel of 0.217 hectares was sold for Rs 18 lakh.
Neither Sonu Nigam nor the buyers have commented publicly on the transaction so far.
Interestingly, this is the second set of land deals involving the singer in Karjat in such a short period of time. In April 2026, Sonu Nigam sold several pieces of land totaling over 1.9 hectares in the same area for ₹1.95 crore. Those transactions were registered on April 7, 2026 and reportedly involved four different buyers.
According to documents, the first parcel of 0.405 hectare was sold for Rs 50 lakh, while the second plot of 0.718 hectare fetched Rs 75 lakh. The third parcel spread over 0.607 hectare was sold for Rs 50 lakh, while the fourth transaction involving a plot of 0.208 hectare was priced at Rs 20 lakh. Stamp duty of Rs 11.70 lakh was reportedly paid for those deals.
Apart from these sales, the Nigam family has also been active in the real estate market of Mumbai. Earlier in February this year, Sonu Nigam’s father Agam Kumar Nigam had bought a 1,197 sq m property in Mumbai’s Mud Island for Rs 10 crore. The acquisition reportedly included a ground-plus-one-floor residential and commercial structure.
In 2025, Sonu Nigam was also in discussion to lease a commercial property in Santa Cruz East, Mumbai for a period of five years at a total rental value of over Rs 12.61 crore.
