The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition in connection with the fraud of Rs 200 crore by actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who refused to give any relief to Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Jacqueline had approached the apex court challenging the Delhi High Court’s 3 July order, which dismissed his plea to stop the FIR filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the money laundering case.

In her petition, the actress allegedly argued that she was a victim of Sukesh’s targeted attack. The argument mentions that the ED had admitted himself to Tihar Jail officials that he had given Sukesh access to mobile phones and other electronic devices, which he allegedly used to cheat not only the complainant, but also many members of the film industry, including Fernandez.
Jacqueline also said that she is a prosecution witness to the crime and argued that further proceedings against her should be abolished.
However, the Delhi High Court had earlier ruled that questions about Jacqueline’s intentions and knowledge of alleged crime could only be determined during the test. Actress, known as films like, Murder 2 And kickConstantly ensuring that the allegations are false and she was unaware of Sukesh’s criminal background.
Ed allegations against Jacqueline
According to the ED, Jacqueline allegedly received a luxury gift of about Rs 7 crore from Sukesh. The agency says that these gifts were part of the income of crime generated through fraud of Rs 200 crore.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of cheating Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh, husband of former Ranbaxi promoters worth Rs 200 crore. He is also accused of conch shelling many high-profile persons while in Tihar Jail.
With the Supreme Court dismissing his petition, Jacqueline will now face trial in the money laundering case, where the intention and knowledge questions will be investigated in detail.
