Sydney has been designed for an important revival of its Indian Film Festival this October, as the event returns to a three-day rich cinematic story from 9–11 October 2025 to tell after a gap. Sydney’s Indian film Festival to open with Tannisha Chatterjee’s full plate on 9 October

The film is about a Muslim housewife in Mumbai, whose husband’s accident forced her to earn alive, causing her husband’s insecurity and personal changes.

During the three -day festival, Sydney will be a witness to the curate lineup of more than 15 films of the whole of India and Indian migrants, with many languages and styles. The program will include independent voices, feature films, shorts and documentaries, as well as panel discussions, question -sessions and filmmaker conversations that allow the audience to directly attach to art and artists.
