Tere Ishq Mein box office second week: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer joins Rs 100 crore club, adds Rs 23 crore against Dhurandhar

Tere Ishq Mein registered a good hold in the second week compared to Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar. The film made Rs. As against new releases, around Rs 23.05 crore. Earned Rs 1.60 crore on second Thursday. The decline from the first week is almost 70 percent, which is a significant decline. However, considering the kind of momentum Dhurandhar has gained after its opening day, Tere Ishq Mein has done very well.

The film is expected to show some momentum in the third weekend as well, while facing two new releases – Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 and Sholay: The Final Cut.

Although the musical romance drama has earned a clean hit verdict due to its strong opening and then promising trend at the box office, it could have earned even more if there was no competition in the second week. Looking at its current trends, it is expected that the overall performance of Tere Ishq Mein will be around Rs. 115 crore nett in India. Had the film released on a better date with a free run of 2-3 weeks, it would have collected at least Rs. 130-140 crore nett.

Apart from chartbuster music, powerful performances and attractive promotional material, Tere Ishq Mein also benefited from the association with Raanjhanaa. Before Tere Ishq Mein Saiyara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat also created a stir at the box office. All three are love stories backed by quality music. It is said that music cannot be underestimated in Hindi cinema. Lack of good music is also a major reason for the poor performance of today’s films at the box office.
