Superstar Rajinikanth is currently working on his next release, Jailer 2, and is also expected to start shooting for his next venture, Thalaivar173, soon. However, it looks like there may be a change in the director team of the film once again.
Is Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar173 set to replace Siby Chakraborty as director?
According to Valai Pechu, Don director Siby Chakraborty is likely to be replaced as the director of Thalaivar173. Reportedly, the filmmaker is involved in a dispute with a Telugu production house over a film starring Nani, which he left due to creative differences.
However, the makers claim that they have already spent money on the pre-production of the untitled project and are asking them to repay the amount. Speculations suggest that the team had also requested a partnership in Thalaivar173, but the producer, RKFI, rejected the offer.
With the issue reportedly remaining unresolved, the makers may remove Sibi as director and bring in Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu instead. The latter had earlier revealed that he had narrated a story to Rajinikanth, which the superstar liked.
However, these reports are unconfirmed, as no official statement has been made from the manufacturers.
